calm and spacious

You may be struggling with feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, or depression, or feeling stuck in self-defeating patterns and behaviours. Perhaps you’re navigating difficult relationships or finding it hard to set healthy boundaries.

I offer a supportive space and confident guidance to help you explore and begin shifting what feels stuck. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a powerful therapeutic model that, in a gentle way, leads to deep and lasting change.

Vera Hrvatin

Welcome!

I'm so glad you are here and considering taking this step with me.

I’m Vera Hrvatin, an IFS practitioner and a pluralistic psychotherapist offering IFS-informed therapy for adults and teens. I work in English and Croatian. I offer sessions online and in-person in Sligo town. My work is primarily relational, trauma-informed, and guided by deep respect for each person’s own pace and inner wisdom.

Why IFS?

My passion for therapeutic approaches that foster deep, lasting change led me to Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). Its compassionate, non-pathologizing approach aligns deeply with how I understand growth and healing. By cultivating self-compassion through powerful internal process, IFS will help you shift patterns that, despite being driven by protective intentions, keep you stuck in challenging situations, behaviors, and emotions. I pursued comprehensive training in IFS and I have been regularly supporting others in learning the model as a support staff on the renowned IFSCA training course.

Integrative approach

In my work I also draw on my extensive training in Person-Centred and Pluralistic Therapy, as well as other powerful therapeutic approaches and theories that I have explored and studied over the years, including:

  • Attachment Theory

  • Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB)

  • Experiential therapies (Focusing, Coherence Therapy, AEDP)

  • Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).

I have experience of working with trauma and complex trauma (C-PTSD). I am a neuro-affirming practitioner and have special interest in working with neurodiverse clients. You can read more about me and how I work here
